Global competency centre


The aim of the Global Competency Centre (GCC) is to share knowledge and research carried out both by PricewaterhouseCoopers and external parties in the valuation consulting arena: see our grant programme.

The Centre is run by a group of specialists from Valuation and Strategy led by Wim Holterman from the Amsterdam office and supported by an Advisory Board.

Simon Benninga
Professor of Finance at Tel-Aviv University and the University of Groningen, and Visiting Professor of Finance at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Simon is the author of several books in corporate finance and financial modelling ('Numerical Methods in Finance', 'Corporate Finance: A Valuation Approach' and 'Financial Modelling'). His research has appeared in numerous academic journals (including the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Business and the American Economic Review) and he is editor of the European Finance Review.

Michael Brennan
Irwin and Goldyne Hearsh Professor of Banking and Finance at the University of California, Los Angeles, and Professor of Finance at the London Business School. Michael is a former president of the American Finance Association and is currently president of the Society for Financial Studies and of the Western Finance Association. He is also the founding editor of the Review of Financial Studies and his research interests include asset pricing, corporate finance and the role of information in capital markets.
